Monthly Cleanups of Tucson Blvd

Blenman Elm Neighborhood has adopted Tucson Blvd between Speedway and Grant through the Tucson Clean And Beautiful program.

Cleanups occur on the third Saturday of the month. Volunteers meet first for a safety briefing, and to get safety vests. Volunteers need to bring their own work gloves and should wear closed toe shoes.

Afterwards, volunteers regroup to collect the safety vests, and tally any reports of pot holes, graffiti etc to turn in to Tucson Clean and Beautiful. We also get to report our volunteer hours.

Please contact Alice Roe if you would like to help.

Next cleanup:

Saturday January 16. Meet at Alice Roe’s house, 2318 E Elm St at 9:00 AM for Safety discussion, safety vests and assignment. Please wear long pants and bring work gloves. No sandals. Bring water, wear a hat and sunscreen (yes even in January). Tucson Clean & Beautiful provides big trash bags and some pickers. And we get to put out the big orange Road Work Ahead signs on Tucson Blvd close to Speedway and close to Grant.

See the News and Events page for the next cleanup.
